Murvica
is located on the southern part of the the island of Brac. It is 6 kilometers
from Bol. In this small village there are just about 30 inhabitants. In history
this place is mentioned for the first time in 1286. Murvica is well known as it was populated
mostly by loners throughout history. The Drakonja cave or the Dragon's cave, as
some call it, is located above Murvica. It is peculiar because an unknown monk
carved a dragon in that cave, in 15th century. This small settlement will give
you the feeling of the quiet island life, far away from everyday life and
stress. We recommend you to also visit
other places on this magnificent island : Supetar, Sumartin, Splitska, Selca,
Postira, Povlja, Pucisca, Milna, Bol, Sutivan, Nerezisca.
