Pucisca is located on the northern side of the island
of Brac, 13 kilometers away from Supetar. Its name derives from the latin word
«puteus» which means well or a source. There are 1,700 inhabitants living in
Pucista today, and they are traditionally living from viticulture, growing
olives, tourism and stone chisling. Some of the sights in Pucista are the St Jerolim
church, that was built in 1566. A very valuable relic of the Lady of Karmel,
from 18th century. The church of the lady of Comfort was built on the remains
of the St Stefan's church, alongside which was also a benedictan monastery
built, that dates back to 11th century. Pucista is the destination for guests
who want quiet family vacation away from the everyday hectic and stressful
life. The accomodation in this peaceful place is offered in the hotel, private
apartments and rooms. More active vacation can be spent on one of the sport
